Children’s Hospital Medical Practice Corporation’s clinics have been awarded Recognition by the Physician Practice Connections® -- Patient Centered Medical Home™ program of the National Committee for Quality Assurance. CHMPC clinics include: Kids First Mid-City, Kids First New Orleans East, Metairie Pediatrics, Ormond Pediatric Group, Kids First TigerCARE (both Canal and Kenner locations), Klein Lawrence Pediatrics (both Metairie and Laplace locations), Physicians of River Ridge, Lakeside Children’s Clinic, Kids First Prytania, Napoleon Pediatrics (both Uptown and Metairie locations) and Northlake Pediatrics. The recognition is effective January 2009 and will expire January 2012.

NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations and manages the evolution of HEDIS®, the performance measurement tool used by more than 90 percent of the nation’s health plans. The PPC-PCMH standards emphasize the use of systematic, patient-centered, coordinated care that supports access, communication and patient involvement.

Children's Hospital Medical Practice
Corporation (CHMPC), a non-profit wholly owned subsidiary corporation of Children's Hospital, was created to provide pediatric primary care to the children in and around New Orleans including medically underserved areas. With 12 practices and 14 locations, CHMPC treats over 150,000 children every year.

CHMPC's commitment to the community extends beyond the medical care we provide to children. Our pediatricians are continually involved in community activities aimed at promoting good health. Our employees are active in many education forums to disseminate information on various children's issues, including presenting to schools and community groups, and serving as local board members. Through efforts such as these, we work to prevent unnecessary doctor visits by teaching parents and children how to stay healthy.
